Waco, TX — McLennan County District Attorney Abel Reyna introduced his newest criminal investigator at a press conference Tuesday afternoon in Waco.
Mark Leger is a former Texas Ranger with 25 years of state service under his belt.
Among a long list of personal achievements, Leger is a certified crisis negotiator and a master peace officer. He joins Abel Reyna’s staff of investigators and will begin working on cases immediately.
Leger said he will appreciate working for somebody who is tough on violent crime and somebody who won't waste hard work.
“I’ve noticed since he’s been district attorney that he’s been aggressive and I like that," said Leger. And I’m sure a lot of officers who work hard appreciate that as well.”
Reyna said he picked Leger for his versatility and experience in the field and says his link to the Texas Rangers provides his administration with another well-respected investigator.
