A Bellmead man has been sentenced to 634 years in prison, after a jury found him guilty of seven counts of aggravated sex assault of a child and two counts of indecency of a child by contact.

Willie Pearson, 59, was arrested in July 2011, for allegedly assaulted a then eight-year-old about a decade ago. Pearson turns 60 in two days, and he won't be eligible for parole for at least 30 years.

A McLennan County jury convicted Pearson on Wednesday, and his sentence was handed down on Thursday.

For each of his seven counts of aggravated sexual assault of a child, Pearson received 99 years and a ten thousand dollar fine. For the two indecency with a child by contact charges, Pearson received 20 years and a ten thousand dollar fine for each. According to the DA’s office, Judge Johnson stacked counts three through nine. Because the first two counts “were too old to stack”, they will run concurrently.
