Listen up all you bookworms.

Saturday is the long-awaited opening of the Waco McLennan County Library.

It took five years and $5.8 million but Waco’s main library is ready for the public.

There will be a ribbon cutting ceremony at 10 tomorrow morning.

The library has brand new furniture, more computers and an automated checkout system.

The backyard has been made into an ampitheatre for future events.

The library is located at 1717 Austin Avenue.
