HILL COUNTY - The Hills County Sheriff Department has arrested 3 men in connection with a frozen body found on County Road 3425 Thursday morning.
The body found is identified as 24-year-old Christopher Neal Beckham of Milford.
Officials say Beckham was beaten up by three men, tied by his neck to the back of a pickup truck and pulled down the road for almost 5 minutes, about 1/4 of a mile. The body was then dumped into a field and found by a group of teenagers hunting hogs Thursday morning.
Three people were arrested and will be charged with murder. One of the men arrested is Beckham's brother. Authorities say he has confessed to the crime.
In his confession, the brother told deputies the group went to two bars in Malone where they began to argue. They were eventually kicked out of one of the bars, drove to a field, and started fighting.
The exact time of the death is believed to have happened between Wednesday night and early Thursday morning.
The men arrested are 25-year-old Marcus Allen Beckham, 32-year-old Raymond Scott Harrington, and 23-year-old George Harrington, Jr. All three are currently in the Hill County Jail.
