COLLEGE STATION -- The Zone Plaza on Texas A&M's campus has turned into "Shack City."
For the past week students a part of the Aggie Habitat for Humanity have been living outside in shacks that they built Monday.
The organization is trying to raise money and awareness about Habitat for Humanity in order to build a house in the Bryan-College Station area for a family in need.
Edgar Mesta, Aggie Habitat for Humanity PR chair said, "We can't let this go down or else we won't have a home every year which is our main plan because when we first started Aggie Habitat we didn't have enough to build a home every year but now we're actually starting to have a home every year and that's always a good thing."
The "Shack-A-Thon" wraps up tomorrow night and the group expects to have raised around $40,000.
