AWOL soldier pleads not guilty to terrorism charges

WACO -- Today former AWOL soldier pleaded not guilty to plotting an attack on Fort Hood soldiers.

21-year-old Nasser Jason Abdo was in a Waco courtroom for arraignment on a six-count indictment issued November 8.

Abdo was arrested back in July, accused of planning to bomb a restaurant filled with soldiers.

If convicted he could get life in prison.

His trial date is set for January 23 of next year in Waco's U.S. District Court.
