COLLEGE STATION -- If you haven't signed up yet for the Atkinson Toyota BCS Marathon in December, you're out of luck.
Marathon officials tell Fox 28 that as of today, the race is officially sold out.
More than 1,500 runners will participate in the event, which features both a marathon and half marathon through both College Station and Bryan.
Race director, Chris Field, says organizers never expected to have so many runners sign up.
"We're really excited. Nearly 50 percent of the participants will be from outside of Bryan-College Station. We have representatives from 15 different states that are going to be coming in for the race. So for a first year race, we've even been surprised at how this is grown not just regionally but nationally."
The marathon will start at seven a.m. on December 7th and all proceeds will benefit two local organizations, The Mercy Project and Still Creek Ranch.
