Waco--A public meeting took place today in Waco with Republican nominee in Texas' 17th Congressional District, Bill Flores, and Congressman Jeb Hensarling, about their views on budget and spending. Mr. Flores also clarifies the misconception about his opinion on public health care for veterans.

Mr. Flores spoke on his views of a head long rush towards bankruptcy he believes our country is headed towards under a democratically controlled congress. He says, "We've got an absolute spending problem in this country, and it seems like nobody in the 111th Congress is doing anything to take care of it. And so, my gaol to get elected is to turn that around and stop the spending craze that we're on, the headlong rush toward bankrupting our economy.

Mr. Flores also speaks about his opinion on health care for veterans. He says, the statement that was made in regards to his desire for privatized health care for veterans, is completely false. To clarify the statement he says, "The truth about this matter is that what I want, is I want veterans to have the option to seek the use of a private health care system should they choose to do it, and have the VA pay the bill."

Mr. Flores says that his main concern is for the veterans. He says that he does not want to destroy the VA or privatize the VA health care system, its all about caring the the veterans.
