BRAZOS COUNTY -- It's been nearly three days since a family of five was killed when the plane they were flying in crashed into a northeast Brazos County pasture and now investigators have cleared the scene.
Monday night's wreckage has been taken to a secure facility where the NTSB can continue its investigation into why the plane went down.
Investigators still believe weather may have played a factor and confirm the plane began breaking apart in mid-air before it crashed.
A preliminary report should be released within the next five to ten business days but investigators say it could take up to a year to determine the exact cause.
