BRYAN -- A Bryan High School student is behind bars tonight after assaulting a school resource officer Thursday afternoon.

Bryan police tell us rumors were swirling around the high school campus that someone was carrying a gun.

When 17-year-old Tarreze Ledell Porch was stopped in the hallway for questioning, after the school resource officer said he matched the description given of the possible student, Porch became uncooperative and refused to stop and answer questions.

Police say the officer then put Porch on a wall to check for weapons and that's---- when they say he got physical.

"A struggle ensued at which time they went to the ground and the student began to resist and began elbowing the officer in the face and upper body area," said Officer Jon Agnew. "It eventually took two officers to get him detained and in handcuffs."

No weapon was found but Porch is in the Brazos County Jail tonight on $12,000 bail.

He is being charged with resisting arrest and assault on a public servant.

I absolutely loved your Beauty by the Book bible study! I was able to finish it, so I was so glad I found you on your website. Now I’m even more glad that I subscribed to your newsletters. I have learned so much from the 3 quiet time myths. I have had a busy few months and was not able to have my quiet time every day. I would get so anxious that the Lord consider me not faithful, that sometimes I would just say, “Lord, I love you” and doze off to sleep. This was so much help to me, I can’t tell you how much your teaching as renewed my faith and caused me to take a good look at myself and be the person God created me to be!
