BRYAN -- It's been less than a week since 18-year-old, Raymond Cavazos, was shot dead in his apartment but tonight family and friends can have a little bit of closure as the two suspected killers sit behind bars.
25-year-old, Clifton Montgomery, was pulled over Friday night during a traffic stop and arrested for an unrelated warrant. After questioning Montgomery about the homicide, police then issued a warrant for capital murder.
The second arrest came on Saturday when police saw a man who matched the suspect's description.
38-year-old, Eugene Jenkins was arrested and also booked for capital murder.
"Well we can't get into specifics of it right now because it's still under investigation but we do believe it was drug related when they came to the door and shot our victim, so it had to do with some type of narcotics," said Officer Jon Agnew.
Montgomery is being held on $300,000 bail while Jenkins bail is set at $500,000.
Officer Agnew said both men have had previous run-ins with the law.
