BRYAN -- A woman is stabbed in Bryan and the suspect, her ex-boyfriend, is still on the run tonight.
Bryan Police were called to an apartment complex in the 2800 block of Westridge Circle late last night.
When officers arrived they found that the 43-year-old victim had been stabbed in the chest and had wounds to her face.
Before being transported to the hospital, the victim was able to tell police that her ex-boyfriend had attacked her and then fled into the surrounding woods.
That's when the manhunt began and dogs were used to track the suspect.
Officer Lori Berndt with Bryan Police said, "I do know that they found some evidence along the trail and the direction that he went but they were unable to establish a perimeter and he got outside too quick."
Police tell us the victim's injuries are non-life threatening but once the suspect is found and in custody, he'll most likely be charged with aggravated assault.
