COLLEGE STATION -- A drunk College Station mom passes out in her car, leaving her infant at home for hours completely alone.
Police tell us, 23-year-old Ashley Ellen, was found unconscious in her car Wednesday morning near Holleman Drive.
Officers arrested her for public intoxication and that's when she told them her infant child was home alone.
"Fortunately officers were able to find an unlocked door on the other side of the house and they were able to make entry into the home," said Officer Rhonda Seaton. "Officers noted that the conditions inside were deplorable and they found the 18-month-old child asleep in his crib."
Police say the baby was left alone for more than two hours.
Ellen is charged child endangerment or abandonment and public intoxication.
She's in the Brazos County Jail on over $10,000 bail.
