College Station police searching for robbery suspect

COLLEGE STATION -- An armed robbery in broad daylight and the masked man is still on the loose.

The robbery happened in College Station in the 1600 block of Southwest Parkway just after 1:30 Monday afternoon.

The victim told police she was working in her kitchen when a masked man walked through her front door with a knife.

The thief stole the woman's purse and two laptops before getting away. The victim isn't sure what direction he fled or if he got away in a car but police say she was able to get a good description of him.

"He was described as being about 6' 3", 280 pounds. She said that he had on an orange short sleeve shirt, he had on tan pants and he had a red mask type covering over his face," said Officer Rhonda Seaton. 

The victim wasn't injured.

Police are asking you to call them immediately if you saw anyone suspicious in the area or have any information about the suspect.
