Copperas Cove man returns to victims home day after being arrested for unlawful restraint
COPPERAS COVE -- A Copperas Cove man is arrested after a dramatic night of threatening suicide and refusing to let his wife and child go.
Police received a call late Friday night to the 900 block of S. 23rd Street for a possible suicide attempt.
There, Paul Estrada IV, 25, refused to let police inside and even placed his 2-year old child in front of the door to stop police from breaking in.
Estrada also wouldn't allow his wife to open the door or leave.
But after about an hour and a half, Estrada let the police in and was arrested.
A protective order was placed on the female victim but after Estrada made bail Tuesday he returned to her residence.
He was then arrested again and bailed out Wednesday but this time released to his military supervisor.
