WACO -- In keeping with the spirit of the 4th of July, hundreds of people came to Allen Samuels dealership today to honor our wounded warriors and fallen heroes.

Mike Burney, member of Karem Shrine Temple, said he tries to support the military any way he can.

"Extremely proud to do this because we're, our organization consist of many, many, World War II, Korean, Vietnam and Iraq veterans," said Burney.

And that pride is also for our community.

"Waco community as a whole is very patriotic and we definitely support the endeavors our military personnel," said Burney.

Jason Figueroa, a director of the tour, said this is why they trek across America.

"When you come to places like this and you see the proud military families and military members, it kinda makes the trip worth while," said Figueroa.

There was a lot of patriotism shown at todays event, but as Staff Sgt. Jacqueline Castaneda said, the most important thing to those who have served our country, is to see the support and the appreciation.

"Deep in my heart I believe that everything that I put as hard work and effort everyday, it just shows an appreciation, so it definitely, it means a lot," said Castaneda.

"The support has been more than expected," said Figueroa, "And more than welcome and it's very much appreciated. So, the amount of support and the different places that actually are able to support us and have showings like this, is just incredible."
