A man who started as the victim of a crime is now behind bars for committing one.
19-year-old Trenton Scott Barrett of Lorena reported an aggravated robbery on October 7th at the Wal-Mart on Hewitt Dr.
He claimed his wallet had been stolen and the suspect had pulled a pistol on him.
But after further investigation, it turns out it was a drug deal gone bad.
Michael Collins was arrested for allegedly stealing Barrett's wallet.
But then, Barrett turned himself in last night for filing a false report.
Now the McLennan County District Attorney has dropped the aggravated robbery charges against Collins but he remains in jail on prior charges.
