COLLEGE STATION -- Just six days after a Bryan teenager was found dead in his apartment, College Station police are now investigating their own murder case.
Last night an elderly man was found dead in his garage and his wife seriously injured inside their home.
Tonight, police are still searching for the suspect.
68 year-old Edwin Shaar, Jr. and his 69 year-old wife, Linda, have lived in their southwest College Station home for more than 20 years.
"We're all pretty friendly and talk whenever we see each other but nothing bad to say about them. They were normal people that you know, just lived in the community," said neighbor, Greg Raynbird.
But last night that all changed after a 9-1-1 call.
"Officers arrived very quickly. When they arrived they found Mr. Shaar deceased in the garage and then they found Mrs. Shaar in the house and she had been seriously injured," said Officer Rhonda Seaton.
Neighbors say that are completely shocked to find out about what happened last night. They told Fox 28 the neighborhood is extremely quiet and safe.
"We live in a very safe neighborhood or what seems to be a safe quiet neighborhood but as you see these things happen randomly," Raynbird said.
Tonight police are still looking for the suspect.
"We're looking for an Asian or Hispanic male dressed in camouflage and at this point we have very good reason to believe he had blood on him," said Seaton.
Police are asking anyone that was in the neighborhood last night around the time of the crime to call the department if they remember seeing anyone or anything unusual.
