Gas and oil companies say that unleaded gas could go up to $5 per gallon by summer. They say to blame limited supply, a higher demand, and turmoil in the Middle East.
Consumers say prices are already too high, and are worried about future. Oz Vargas, Waco Hyundai car salesman, says he's noticed a ton of people trading in their SUV's, for smaller compact cars.
Jason Powell, a small business owner in Waco, says he is worried about his business, and has started driving his motorcycle to save money.
Experts say these prices will continue to rise until local drilling is established, and coal resources are used. Until then, expect to be paying more at the pump.
