WACO-- The water park Waco knew has officially begun its Hawaiian Falls face lift.
Monday the first cement trucks poured what will soon be known as the 800 yard wave pool which about the size of a football field.
The wave pool is just one part of the about $6 million project that will make the park three times its original size.
So far construction is well underway.
"We cleared out all the trees in the area, including the parking lot. We've obviously poured the wave pool, dug out the lazy river and currently we're putting the peers in for both slide towers," Hawaiian Falls project manager, Adam Jordan said.
Luckily, the project is on schedule and they still plan to open Memorial Day 2012.
Hawaiian Falls Waco plans to hire at least 150 seasonal workers so if you're interested in working there this Summer, visit www.hfalls.com
Hawaiian Falls is also hosting a job fair.
