A Heisman homecoming

WACO -- It was a homecoming unlike any other.
Baylor's beloved Robert Griffin III, returning from New York with the 45 pound Heisman Trophy in hand.
"They said that we couldn't do it, but we did it. No matter how many doubters we had, the Heisman is Baylor's," said Griffin addressing the crowd.
An early Christmas gift as some would say.
But during last night's ceremony, Griffin also promised a post Christmas present: an Alamo Bowl title.
"I've heard they've already sold out the tickets, so I'm sure it will be a big time home game for us. We're definitely going to get that ten win season," said Griffin.
But fans are already thinking about next year with a plea for RG3 to stay and bring another historic season to the university.
Throughout the entire halftime ceremony, it was apparent how much these Baylor fans love Robert Griffin III.
Some of those fans said this is a night they will never forget.
"I will remember this forever there's no doubt. The--how can you forget something like that," said Richard Averitt, a Baylor student.
Baylor Alumnus, Ed Kinkeade, agreed.
"Oh I'll never -- that little tape I made on my phone I'll, I don't know those phones will be obsolete, but I'll never get rid of that," said Kinkeade.
A moment that happens once in a lifetime.
"I played freshman basketball at Baylor and I didn't think I'd ever see the day when it would reach this level. It's, it is a true Hoosier's moment," said Kinkeade.
