Killeen man receives murder sentence

KILLEEN --  A Killeen man who pleaded guilty to murder in October now knows his fate.

James Lee Garris, 20, has been sentenced to 37 years in prison for the murder of Jaytuan Lee Hawthorne, 19, back in June of 2010 at a putt-putt golf course in Killeen.

Garris pulled a shot-gun out of his car and shot at the car Hawthorne was in killing him at the scene.

Two others have been charged as well for the crime,  Jose Luis Veiga, 20, Adrian Maxwell Lee, 20.
