Local jewelry store robbed at gunpoint

On Monday at 11:11 a.m. the Bryan Police Department was called to a robbery in the 1300 block of  W. William J. Bryan.

Police were told the Joyeria jewelry store was robbed by three unknown men with a weapon. The suspects fled the scene in a vehicle with an undisclosed amount of cash and merchandise. The suspects had entered the store and demanded money, and then hit the store owner. He received treatment for a minor injury.

The owner says the suspects ran, and he was able to fire a gun at their vehicle. It is unknown at this time if any of the suspects were struck by gun fire during the crime.  

No other injuries were reported during the robbery.
