BRYAN -- Christmas came early this year for one very lucky puppy and his owners after the six-month old pit bull ended up a long way from home.
Cruz was found wandering the streets of Bryan several days ago, and thanks to his dog tags, the Bryan Animal Center was able to call his owners to return the lost pup.
To everyone's surprise, Cruz somehow ended up more than 300 miles away from his home in Oklahoma City.
Arrangements were then needed to get this puppy back to where he belonged so Bryan Councilwoman Ann Horton, who was already planning a trip to Oklahoma, didn't think twice about loading him up and making the 6-hour drive.
Cruz was finally reunited with his family last night just in time for the holiday.
