COLLEGE STATION -- A 19 year-old College Station man is in jail tonight after police say they discovered controlled substances at his home.
An officer responded yesterday to the Woodlands apartment complex for a noise complaint.
According to the reports, the officer could see marijuana through the window so a judge ordered a search warrant of the residence.
Tyler Guglielmo was arrested for having marijuana, cocaine, baggies and a scale in his apartment.
Officer Seaton said an arrest like this is an important one because the residence was within 1,000 feet from a school.
"Part of the intent of this law too is to not only protect our children from the dangerous people who are normally associated with drug use but protect our children from, you know keep them away from the people who may influence them improperly," said Seaton.
Guglielmo's apartment was approximately 300 feet away from the A&M Consolidated High School so his charges are enhanced since he is living in a drug-free zone.
He is charged with manufacture/delivery of a controlled substance.
