BRAZOS COUNTY -- A call from a concerned neighbor leads deputies to a Brazos County home filled with marijuana.

Phillip Tello and Brooks Winfield were arrested after neighbors called the Brazos County Sheriff's office to report a strong odor of marijuana coming from the home on Old Spanish Trail in Benchley.

During their search late Sunday night, deputies found that the interior had been converted into a marijuana nursery. Forty plants were seized and Sheriff Kirk says six of those were already producing buds.

"It was very sophisticated. They used grow lights and then they used a system to keep the temperatures up in the house, as well as a ventilation system, to move fresh air through the house."

Deputies also searched a second house in College Station and found more marijuana and drug paraphernalia.

Tello and Winfield have since bonded out of jail.
