WACO -- Last night Midway ISD was supposed to vote on a final budget cut plan but instead they pushed the date back.
Facing $3.5 million in cuts, the board came up with two plans involving a two-tiered bussing system that will change start times in different grade levels.
A public survey shows the majority of parents favor Plan A which would have earlier school start times for high school and middle school students.
But the board wants more details before making a final decision.
"There's still a lot to figure out, there's still a lot of logistics that have to play into it. Everything from employee hours to daycare and after school or before school care and still the transportation question of the actual routes," said Midway spokesperson Traci Marlin.
Members are also looking into cutting teacher stipends as another way to cut back.
The board will make a final decision in March.
