WACO -- After deliberating for 90 minutes, jurors recommended a life sentence for, Jose Maria Garcia, who attempted to murder a Falls County deputy.

A final sentence of 30 years in prison completed the trial for Garcia.

He will serve a minimum of 30 years before being eligible for parole on the attempted capital murder conviction.

However, Garcia still may go to trial for aggravated robbery during the same incident.

Which could stack more time onto his current sentence.
