MART -- A devastating fire leaves a mart family homeless.

Around 5:30 this morning at the 1200 Block of East Texas Avenue, the home went up in flames.

Six adults and four children in the house all got out safely, but their home was destroyed.

The cause is still being investigated however the fire department assured us it was not arson.

"cause of the fire is still under minor investigation. Being an old house like it is, so we're looking at possible electrical problems. I don't see any arson in this," Mart volunteer Fire Chief Jerry Pavelka said.

One of the children in house was Mart High School quarterback Leonard Williams who's starting in the semi-finals game tonight against Brownwood.

To help the family, Mart High School has set up a fund at the 1st National Bank of Central Texas.

If you'd like to donate, you can visit any of their locations in Central Texas.
