The new McLennan County Jail visitation center, has 40 video visitation stations, that allow people to visit with their fiends and family that are behind bars.

The Shepperd Mullens Correction Visitation Center has been helpful to some families, by lowering the waiting time for visits with the inmates, but say say they would rather see their loved one's in person.

Now visitors go to the Visitation center, check in to verify their identity, and with little to no wait, they can meet with the inmate through a video conference.

While time efficiency and safety are a high priority, some say this new system can seem impersonal.
