WACO -- It was a cloudy, rainy and quiet morning at a Bosqueville neighborhood in the 6300 block of North 19th Street.
A stark contrast to the night before.
"About 6:30 p.m. Waco fire responded to a fire call of a mobile home being on fire," said Sgt. Patrick Swanton.
Witnesses at the scene pulled a 2-year-old boy from a small window but others inside were not as lucky.
"There were three bodies inside the structure. One is believed to be the mother and then two small children inside the home perished, were burned to death," said Swanton.
A neighbor we spoke with wouldn't go on camera but she recapped the night's events with tears rolling down her face.
She said the front door was engulfed in flames.
Firefighters and other neighbors were throwing things at the windows trying to break them but they were made of Plexiglas, preventing them from breaking at all.
She also said she could see the woman inside, holding her children and screaming for help.
"Firefighters were getting burned trying to get to the victims. (At) that point had to pull their own people out of the windows to keep them from being even more seriously injured," said Swanton.
Four firefighters were treated for second-degree burns and the lone survivor of the fire, a small boy, is at the burn unit at Parkland Memorial Hospital in Dallas.
Authorities are still investigating how it all started.
