BRYAN -- A shooting in Bryan this weekend has left one man dead and tonight police are searching for the suspect.
19 year-old, Billy Joe Menard JR., was found shot to death at his home early Saturday morning.
Neighbors called police after they heard gunshots at the Wilde Oaks Apartment Complex off East 29th Street.
Fox 28 spoke with Assistant Police Chief, Peter Scheets, who tell us detectives spent the day following up with witnesses and neighbors and are hoping to make an arrest by the end of the week.
"I can't comment on the number of individuals involved but the detectives in the crime scene unit were off to a good start on the morning that they were notified and we anticipate to have warrants for the arrest of those parties involved shortly."
Scheets tells us the shooting was not a random act but police do not believe it was gang related.
Menard's body has been sent to the Travis County Medical Examiner's Office in Austin to determine where the fatal wound is.
It's unclear how many times Menard was shot.
