WACO -- Police are still searching for a suspect they believe is responsible for two weekend robberies in Waco.

Around 10:20 p.m. Saturday night a woman was approached by a man in the parking lot of Jester's in the 2100 block of La Salle.

He pulled a knife and stole her wallet before running off.

Then about an hour later a clerk at a Skinny's convenience store on Robinson Drive a short distance from Jester's, was robbed by a man with a similar description also carrying a knife.

"At this point we are unable to say whether they were or not related but we know the suspect description was roughly the same and the, the method of robbery was the same," said Sgt. Patrick Swanton, Waco P.D.

The suspect is described as a six-foot black male weighing around 230 pounds.
