Police search for suspects in six robberies
WACO -- Waco police are looking for a connection in six robberies over the weekend.
The first one happened in broad daylight at Salon Da Da on Waco Dr. when a black man, covering his face, came in with a gun.
Owner Darrell Bryant recalls how quickly it all happened.
"Immediately the gun was in my face. When he came into the room, he had the gun in all of our face,s and that was just to get our control at that point, you know, of the situation. He automatically did, and he came in and said I want all your cash," says Bryant.
The gunman only made away with a little more than $100, but not without shaking up Bryant and his teen customer and her mother.
Then just after midnight on Friday at the Crying Shame on Sanger, a black man approached someone with gun and took their money.
30 minutes later, five Baylor students were held up in the 800 block of S. 9th St.
Around 2:40 a.m., police received reports of another robbery by a similar man trying to steal from someone pulling into their driveway on N. 64th St.
Sunday, police say there were two more robberies at convenience stores.
First RJ Food Mart on Sanger and Highway 6.
Where two black men came in with pistols demanding money.
Then Johnny's Food Mart on Richter was robbed by a man with the same description.
Police are investigating to find out if they could be linked. Anyone with information is asked to please call.
