WACO --  Bullet holes litter the home when Sunday turned into a chaotic nightmare for one family.

"You look at yourself in the mirror, and you say am I going to be safe here? And now, my daughter, she's not going to be able to come down because she's not going to be, i feel she wouldn't be safe here," said Shirley Ethridge.

A drive by shooting in broad day light, and no one knows who did it or why.

It happened right outside Shirley Ethridge's home where she's lived for 11 years.

"When we first got here it was really really peaceful, quiet, and and the past four years its just been shooting constantly," Ethridge told Fox 44.

It happened in the 1100 block of Adams St. just after 2:30 pm.

Police arrived to find 21-year-old Riara Degrate with a gunshot wound to her wrist.

When the shooters drove by, they shot nearly ten bullets at the Ethridge's home.

Ethridge heard the echo of the bullets from the back room where she was playing a board game.

She ran to the front of the house to find her bleeding friend.

"When I was treating this girl, she had a wound on her arm, wrist, and I put pressure on her wounds. Then I realized there was bullets in my house."

Degrate was treated at a local hospital and released.

While she may be okay, neighbors are still shocked and have a message for the shooter.

"I would say please don't do it again. You're hurting people, and I don't want to see that no more."

Police say witnesses are uncooperative in giving a detailed description of the vehicle in the drive by.

So they are asking anyone with any information to call police.
