WACO -- The number of aggravated robberies in Waco keeps going up. It's now up to 14 over the past week.

This weekend, robbers targeted people in parked cars.

The first one happened Saturday night just after 8:00. A man pulled into a car wash near Sanger and Westview with car problems. That's when a man from nearby Villa Victoria apartments offered to help.

Before the victim knew it, a pistol was in his face and the man ran away with his money.

Then on Sunday, a woman was robbed in a barber shop parking lot on Colcord.

A man came up to her car, showed her a gun and took her car.

Now police say they're taking all these crimes personally.

"Knowing that they're victimizing these victims, number one, by what they're doing, and, number two, what it does to them emotionally. Very difficulty having a gun put to your face and being threatened with death. There have been individuals that have been victims of these robberies that will live with this forever," says Sgt. Patrick Swanton with Waco Police.

Police tell us they're looking forward to locking these criminals up.

The suspect in the car jacking is described as a black man, 5' 6", 200 pounds, wearing a camouflage hat and a muscle shirt.

The car wash robber was a 5'9" black man, 25-to-30 years old.
