The 4-day Republic of Texas bike rally began Monday in Travis County.
200,000 people travel to the Austin area for this event every year where they pump an estimated $36 million dollars into the local economy.
And it may be great for the local economy, but it also adds a high risk of accidents.
Austin police officers on motorcycles will be keeping an eye out for civilians practicing unsafe driving near the bikers.
