Killeen Police arrest a 20-year old Killeen man after a seven hour standoff in the 1100 block of Royal Crest Drive.
Officers were called to the scene around 12:30 a.m. after receiving a 911 call telling them a man was going to kill himself. The caller said the man was inside his vehicle outside of the residence with a gun.
Officers arrived and found the armed man inside his car. The Tactical Response Unit was deployed and members of the Crisis Negotiations team began speaking with the man, but he kept threatening to harm himself; he eventually quit talking and stayed inside his vehicle.
Members of the SWAT team deployed chemical agents trying to get the man out of his vehicle, and at 8:02 a.m. he got out of his vehicle with a gun, but did not comply with the officers demands until a K-9 unit was deployed; the man then complied with officers and he was taken into custody at 8:03 a.m.
Cody Michael Kuhlmann-Todd was charged with unlawful carrying of a weapon and taken to the Killeen City Jail.
Todd is awaiting arraignment at this time.
