WACO -- If you're a Smucker's Natural Crunchy Peanut Butter lover you may want to check the "best if used by" date or production code on the jar.

The J.M. Smucker Company is voluntarily recalling their 16-ounce Natural Peanut Butter Chunky out of fear of salmonella contamination.

Here's what you need to watch out for:

If the best-if-used-by date is between August 3rd 2012 and August 4th 2012.

If the production codes on the jar are 1307004 or 1308004.

Also check the UPC number located on the side of the jar's label below the bar code for the number 5150001701.

The jars were sent to 24 different states including Texas.

If you do find you have one of these jars the company recommends you throw it away and contact the company for a replacement coupon.
