TEMPLE -- A Temple man pleaded guilty to shooting a police officer during a narcotics investigation.

Police say it started April 3, 2009 when Temple police were doing a drug raid at Creekside Apartments.

That's when 23-year-old Jaquinn Williams began shooting at officers.

SWAT officers shot back and Officer Marlin Reed was struck in his chest.

Williams and another woman in the home during the raid were also shot.

Officer Marlin and the suspects have since recovered.

Williams' sentencing is set for July. He faces up to 99 years in prison.
