Texas takes legal action against EPA

TEXAS -- A stand-off between Texas and the Environment Protection Agency has grown even bigger. Texas has now filed legal action challenging the Federal Government for putting regulations on air quality control.
Texas agencies believe the EPA doesn't have the right to regulate industry standards for air permits under the clean air act.
The state refuses to comply with the new standards that would cause corporations to buy the best possible air quality control machines in their factories.
That's because Texas said it would hurt businesses.
In response, the EPA will be issuing greenhouse gas permits directly to Texas industries beginning in Jan.
