Three armed and dangerous men are still on the loose after a failed robbery in Waco that ended in a man getting shot in the leg.

It happened in Waco around 11 last night on the 1100 Block of N.6th Street.

Waco police tell us Thomas Barber,34, was leaving the Village Apartments when three black males walked up demanding money.

When Barber didn't hand it over he was hit in the head and shot in the leg, then the suspects ran off.

"We do not have anyone is custody at this point in reference to the robbery. We did arrest one individual unrelated to it for evading detention currently we're working the case, investigating the case trying to figure out who in fact the three individual suspects were," Waco Police Public Information Officer Sgt. Patrick Swanton said.

Tristan Allen, 19, was the man arrested but isn't suspected of being involved in the attempted robbery.

Police searched using both a helicopter and K-9 units last night.

But they are still on the run.
