Killeen Police are investigating a theft that occurred Friday, just after 10:00a.m. at the Toys 'R' Us store in Killeen.

An officer was patrolling his area in the 2500 block of E. Central Texas Expressway when he saw two men running from the TRU store with a Play Station 3 game system; they ran to a tan colored car that was occupied by a black woman who had left the store earlier and was waiting for them. The officer thought they were acting suspicious and saw store associates running after the suspect attempting to stop them after the theft. The officer attempted to stop the car, but the driver refused to stop and a pursuit ensued. The vehicle continued through several streets in Killeen and Harker Heights until the driver had to stop because of a train crossing at FM 3219 in Harker Heights.

The occupants were caught and later arrested for Theft over $50 but under $500. The thieves are also suspects in an earlier theft from a Family Dollar Store in Killeen and are also charged with Theft under $50. The male driver is awaiting a felony charge of evading arrest in a motor vehicle to be reviewed by the Bell County District Attorney’s Office. All three suspects will be arraigned by the Justice of the Peace on Saturday, December 10, 2011. Their names have been withheld until they conclude arraignment.
