WACO -- TxDOT and Baylor are in the early stages of planning for the new Baylor football stadium.
But before they start digging there's a few projects to take care of first.
Starting at the end of summer TxDOT will begin building bridges over the Brazos, extending the frontage roads along both sides of I-35.
In the area close to the new stadium property they tell us extended access roads will help the flow of traffic.
"The two are going to work together as we progress we certainly anticipate that plan, further plans that for the stadium and other things along the corridor, they will fit in," said Ken Roberts, TxDOT Waco District.
The bridges will cost $40 million of a $212 million project and are expected to be complete by the end of 2015.
