UPDATE: Saints suspensions to remain for bounty program

NEW YORK, NY — UPDATE: NFL Commissioner Roger Goodell will uphold the suspensions placed on the Saints for the bounty program.

This came down after several days of consideration during an appeal hearing. Payton suspension will begin on April 16.

Today is an important day for fans of the New Orleans Saints. Head Coach Sean Payton, General Manager Mickey Loomis and Assistant Coach Joe Vitt are all in New York appealing their suspension handed down from the NFL bounty investigations.

Now the wait is on for Commissioner Roger Goodell to decide if he will reduce any of the penalties.

Payton faces a year long suspension from the team, Loomis has an 8 game ban and Vitt a 6 game suspension.
