Waco cleans up wastewater overflow

WACO -- 400,000 gallons of wastewater flowed into the Brazos River and the grounds of the water treatment plant Sunday night.

Officials say heavy rainfall and an electrical fail are to blame for the the wastewater treatment plant overflow.

Crews worked to clean up the mess since 4:00 Sunday evening.

The overflow is now cleaned up, and a boil water alert was not needed.
