A Waco construction company is going green to the extreme.

Herb Cross of CWA Construction is leading a group of buildiers, architects and consumers in an effort to promote the environmental effort. The group focuses on reducing waste and minimizing their carbon footprint.

President of the CWA says there are two goals with going green: "To get the education going. And to be an advocate for sustainability and green construction for the communities around us."

The Waco chamber building has received the best possible energy efficient rating, earning a gold level award.

Three other waco buildings also meet the green standards.
