Waco motorcyclist killed in weekend crash

A late night motorcycle crash left one person dead over the weekend.

It happened at around 9:50 p.m. Saturday in the 1000 block of East Waco Drive, according to Waco police.

A truck traveling westbound on E. Waco was hit by a motorcycle driving in the same direction. Witnesses say the motorcyle was traveling at a high rate of speed when the accident happened.

The motorcyclist, identified as 44-year old Kevin Lewis Patton of Waco, was thrown into the eastbound lanes. He was pronounced dead at the scene.

The driver of the truck was not hurt.
