WACO -- The city of Waco says they're prepared for the cold weather. They're providing warmth for people who have power outages and aren't getting heat.

They say if you have no relatives or friends you can stay with, you can seek shelter at the warming center in Waco.

"Fortunately in Central Texas we've been able to drive keep mobile as it is. So, that allows people to go to the malls, to the shopping centers, to the grocery store and if nothing else, just hang out there. Of course, when it's night time, and they want to go to sleep they want to know where they can and be warm," said City Spokesperson, Larry Holze.

So, if you don't have power or know someone without heat, that warming center is at the Harrison Community Center at 1718 N. 42nd St.
