WACO -- In response to more state funding cuts a bus dubbed "The Women's Health Express" will be stopping in Waco tomorrow.
The Texas family planning program was cut by more than two thirds last year.
So tomorrow Waco community members will congregate at Planned Parenthood to rally to keep the funding for the Medicaid Women's Health Program currently on the chopping block in Austin.
"It's one of the programs that Planned Parenthood patients access to pay for their cares. About 1,700 women each year, come to planned parenthood through that program,"
State and federal funding do not go towards abortions so the potential cuts to the Medicaid Women's Health Program will strictly cut health care services for an estimated 130,000 women in Texas and 1,700 of those women are in Waco.
